Louisiana HB212 creates the Delmont Economic Development District in East Baton Rouge Parish. The district is governed by a seven-member board of commissioners, appointed by various local officials. It can levy a sales tax and a hotel occupancy tax, both not exceeding 1%, to fund these projects. The taxes expire 20 years after their initial levy but continue if bonds are outstanding.
