Provides for a local option election to establish term limits for St. Helena Parish governing authority members.

Louisiana HB208 mandates a local option election in St. Helena Parish to decide if members of the governing authority should have term limits. If approved by a majority of voters, term limits of three consecutive terms will apply starting January 10, 2028. The state will cover the election costs, and the secretary of state will prepare the ballot. The election will occur during the statewide election on November 3, 2026.
