Louisiana HB205 amends compensation for election commissioners. It raises pay for commissioners-in-charge to $350 and for those serving at more than one precinct to $450. The bill retains the current $100 pay for commissioners with a certificate of instruction. It also allows the secretary of state to approve additional compensation of up to $100 per election or day of assistance for commissioners during emergencies declared by the governor. The changes take effect January 1, 2027.
