Increases personal leave days for teachers from two to four per school year.
Louisiana HB196 amends the law to increase the number of personal leave days granted to teachers from two to four per school year. This leave can be used for personal illness or emergencies without loss of pay. The leave is deducted from the teacher's sick leave for the current year or accumulated sick leave. Personal leave cannot be accumulated from year to year, nor compensated upon death, retirement, or in any other manner except as provided in the law.
