Louisiana HB16 amends the territorial jurisdiction of the City Court of Franklin to include specific areas of Ward Four in St. Mary Parish. The court's jurisdiction now extends from the eastern boundary of Ward Three, north of La. Hwy. 182, south of Bayou Teche, and continues to the Centerville Bridge Approach Road. In areas outside the town of Franklin, the court will have concurrent jurisdiction with the justice of the peace in cases where the justice of the peace would have jurisdiction.
