HB1211

Louisiana HB1211 establishes rules for rural non-congregate summer meal distribution sites.

Louisiana HB1211 amends the state's Sanitary Code to include rules and regulations for rural non-congregate summer meal distribution sites. These sites do not prepare meals on-site and only distribute pre-packaged and shelf-stable meals. The Louisiana Department of Health, through the state health officer and the office of public health, will have exclusive jurisdiction over these sites, which are not considered food service establishments. The bill ensures these sites comply with the state's health and safety standards.
