Louisiana HB1155 enacts R.S. 37:1274.2, authorizing licensed physicians to use nitrous oxide as an analgesic during minor office surgeries and similar procedures. The Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners must develop guidelines for the safe and effective use of nitrous oxide and cannot prohibit its use in these procedures.
