Complete·6/25/26

Louisiana HB1084 shifts authority to set tuition and fees from management boards to public postsecondary education institutions.

Louisiana HB1084 amends existing law to transfer the authority to establish and adjust tuition and mandatory fees from management boards to public postsecondary education institutions. The bill authorizes institutions to set differential tuition for graduate, professional, and specialized programs, as well as undergraduate programs identified as high-cost by the Board of Regents. It also allows institutions to establish mandatory fees for all programs and adjust tuition and fees proportionally for part-time, dual enrollment, summer, and intersession students.
