Louisiana HB1069 allows local distillers to ship their products to consumers directly.
Louisiana HB1069 defines a "distilling facility" as a licensed premises where liquor is manufactured for sale. It allows a manufacturing distillery to use a wholesaler to transfer liquor to another facility in the state, provided the distillery manufactures at least 4,000 gallons annually, limits the amount sold to the public, and does not exceed 50% of the previous month's production. The receiving facility must pay all applicable taxes. The law becomes effective upon the governor's signature or if not signed, upon the lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
