HB1041

Louisiana HB1041 prohibits entities from denying access based on a person's medical intervention status.

Louisiana HB1041, known as the "Louisiana Medical Freedom Act," prohibits businesses and government entities from denying access or imposing penalties based on an individual's refusal of a medical intervention. This includes prohibiting schools, daycares, and educational institutions from mandating medical interventions for attendance or employment. The bill also prevents government entities from requiring medical interventions for employment, public services, or licensure. However, it allows employers to offer voluntary time off for medical interventions.
