This resolution recognizes the 85th anniversary of East Kentucky Power Cooperative, which has been instrumental in providing electricity to rural Kentucky communities since 1941. Formed by thirteen owner-member cooperatives, EKPC has expanded its services to over 1.1 million residents, farms, businesses, and industries. The cooperative has embraced renewable energy, operating five renewable generation power plants and 146 megawatts of solar projects.
