Kentucky SJR17 applies for an Article V convention to propose an amendment to the U.S. Constitution limiting the number of terms members of Congress can serve. This follows the Supreme Court ruling that states cannot individually impose term limits but can collectively propose a constitutional amendment. The resolution aims to balance power among states by preventing lifetime reelections of congressional members. It will be considered a continuing application until two-thirds of states apply for the same convention.
