The resolution reestablishes the Disaster Prevention and Resiliency Task Force to study and recommend improvements in disaster resilience and risk reduction in Kentucky. The task force will review current policies, hear from experts and citizens, and assess other states' strategies. It will focus on preparedness, mitigation, response, recovery, risk assessment, infrastructure resilience, and planning for natural disasters. The task force will submit findings and recommendations to the Legislative Research Commission by December 1, 2026.
