Kentucky SB40 amends the terms and appointment process for public library district boards of trustees.

Kentucky SB40 revises the terms and appointment process for public library district boards of trustees. Initially, one-third of the board members serve two-year terms, another third serve three-year terms, and the remaining third serve four-year terms. Trustees may serve two consecutive terms and can be reappointed after a 12-month break. If a trustee misses four regular monthly meetings in a year, they are considered to have resigned.
