SB332

AN ACT relating to special education classrooms.

Introduced·3/2/26
Bill Text

Kentucky SB332 mandates surveillance systems in self-contained special education classrooms.

Kentucky SB332 requires public school districts to install, maintain, and monitor surveillance systems in every self-contained special education classroom. These systems must record all classroom areas except bathrooms and changing areas. Within five days of a student's assignment to such a classroom, districts must inform parents about the surveillance system and publish an informational guide for parents. Parents can request access to recordings featuring their child, and districts must redact or segregate unrelated students' footage.
