SB327

AN ACT relating to juvenile justice.

Introduced·3/2/26
Bill Text

Kentucky SB327 modifies the Department of Juvenile Justice employee's attendance requirement in civil actions.

Kentucky SB327 amends KRS 15A.066 to state that an employee of the Department of Juvenile Justice is not required to personally attend as a witness in any civil action arising from their employment outside their assigned work station county, except when the court deems them a necessary witness for trial. This change allows for alternative methods of testimony, such as depositions, unless the court orders personal attendance.
