Kentucky SB313 amends the definition of intoxication as a defense in criminal charges.

Kentucky SB313 modifies the legal definition of intoxication as a defense in criminal charges. Under the bill, intoxication can be a defense only if it either negates an element of the offense or is not voluntarily produced and deprives the defendant of the capacity to appreciate the criminality of their conduct or conform their conduct to the law.
