SB259

Kentucky SB259 establishes a domestic violence offender registry and mandates registration for persistent offenders.

Kentucky SB259 creates a domestic violence offender registry managed by the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet. The registry will include personal information of individuals convicted of at least two domestic violence offenses. A public website will display the offender's name, date of birth, county of residence, conviction date, crime description, and photograph. Persistent offenders must pay a $150 registration fee, with $50 going to the court clerk and $100 to the Kentucky State Police.
