SB256

Kentucky SB256 amends interscholastic athletics regulations, including team categorization, student eligibility, and reporting requirements.

Kentucky SB256 modifies interscholastic athletics regulations by categorizing teams as "boys," "coed," or "girls" and determining student eligibility based on biological sex. It mandates that consent forms and training for administrators and coaches include information on reporting child dependency, neglect, and abuse. The bill also restricts nonmember at-home private schools from participating in certain tournaments and events. Additionally, it sets rules for coaches, including age, education, and background checks, and limits student-athletes from using school property for compensation.
