Kentucky SB206 amends state government record-keeping responsibilities for land and building titles.

Kentucky SB206 modifies the duties of the Secretary of State regarding the custody and record-keeping of state-owned land and building titles. The Secretary of State is now responsible for all records, judgments, deeds, maps, and abstracts of title for state-owned land or buildings, excluding deeds to rights-of-way for state or federal roads. The Secretary must record all deeds in a separate book, maintain the originals of all papers, and ensure the records are indexed and cross-indexed by county and state department.
