Kentucky SB171 creates a new section in the Kentucky Revised Statutes to eliminate the need for a certificate of need for establishing or operating a health facility or providing health services. This change applies to certificates issued by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services or any other state agency, effective on or after the Act's effective date. All existing certificates of need are deemed null and void under this new law.
