Kentucky SB16 amends wage laws to increase the minimum wage incrementally and redefines certain employee categories.

Kentucky SB16 modifies wage regulations by setting a new minimum wage schedule, increasing it incrementally from $10 per hour starting from the effective date of the act, to $15 per hour by 2030. The bill also redefines certain employee categories, including those in agriculture, domestic service, and tipped employees, and clarifies the definition of "employer" to exclude franchisees and their employees from being considered employees of the franchisee or franchisor.
