Allows sheriffs and county clerks in large counties to maintain branch offices in cities other than the county seat.
Kentucky SB148 amends KRS 67.035 to allow sheriffs and county clerks in counties with a land area of more than 750 square miles to maintain branch offices in any incorporated or unincorporated city of the county other than the county seat. The fiscal court must authorize these branch offices, which can be used for the same purposes as the offices at the county seat. The compensation of the deputy in charge of the branch office is fixed in the same manner as the compensation of deputies serving at the county seat office.
