SB13

AN ACT relating to planning commission membership.

Chamber Passed·1/23/26

Kentucky SB13 amends planning commission membership rules, including adding military installation representatives.

Kentucky SB13 revises the composition and appointment process for planning commissions. It allows the Governor to appoint a member to the commission of the capital city. County judges/executives can appoint members where extraterritorial jurisdiction is exercised. Military installations can have a nonvoting representative on commissions in areas adjacent to them. The bill also mandates disclosure of any personal or family commercial interests relevant to land use, new development supply, or new development construction by commission members.
