Bill Text

Kentucky HB921 provides a $10,000 annual salary supplement for teachers of exceptional children.

Kentucky HB921 creates a new section in the Kentucky Revised Statutes to provide a $10,000 annual salary supplement for public school teachers and those at the Kentucky School for the Blind or Kentucky School for the Deaf who hold a professional certificate for teaching exceptional children. The supplement is added to the teacher's base salary and considered in retirement contributions. If the General Assembly appropriates less than $10,000, local boards may provide additional funds to meet the total supplement amount.
