Introduced·3/4/26
Bill Text

Kentucky HB919 establishes standards for court facilities, assigns responsibilities for construction and maintenance, and outlines procedures for.

Kentucky HB919 creates a framework for the design, construction, and maintenance of court facilities. It establishes the Court Facilities Construction Standards Board to set standards and review projects. For new projects authorized after the effective date, the county fiscal court or local unit of government is responsible for planning, design, financing, and construction. The Administrative Office of the Courts oversees the process but does not have authority over design, financing, or construction decisions. Maintenance and operating costs for new projects are included in lease agreements.
