Kentucky HB840 amends the definition of "hospital" to include places devoted primarily to the maintenance and operation of facilities for the diagnosis, treatment, or care of two or more nonrelated individuals suffering from illness, disease, injury, or deformity for more than 24 hours. This includes nursing and convalescent homes and institutions for the care of the sick, as well as those providing obstetrical or other medical or nursing care.
