Allows sheriffs and county clerks in large counties to maintain branch offices in cities other than the county seat.
This bill amends Kentucky law to allow sheriffs and county clerks in counties with a land area of more than 750 square miles to maintain branch offices in any incorporated or unincorporated city of the county other than the county seat. The fiscal court must authorize these branch offices, which can be used for the same purposes as the offices at the county seat. All records must still be kept at the county seat. The compensation of the deputy in charge of the branch office is fixed in the same manner as deputies serving at the county seat office.
