HB69

Kentucky HB69 mandates that 90% of affordable housing funds be allocated to single-family homes and 10% to multifamily housing.

Kentucky HB69 establishes a new section in the Kentucky Revised Statutes to regulate the allocation of affordable housing funds. It mandates that at least 90% of these funds be directed towards single-family detached housing and no more than 10% towards multifamily housing. This requirement supersedes any existing conditions in grants or appropriations and does not apply to funds used for administrative costs or other purposes. The bill declares an emergency due to the significant impacts of state and federal funds on the character of areas traditionally containing single-family homes.
