Kentucky HB668 establishes conditions under which residential customers can use temporary emergency suppliers for liquified petroleum gas (LPG) during emergencies. If a customer reasonably believes their LPG supply will be insufficient, they may arrange for a temporary emergency supplier to fill their LPG tank if the regular supplier cannot deliver within 24 hours. The temporary supplier must ensure the LPG tank and related devices are safe. Any contract for LPG supply must allow for this arrangement and cannot impose additional penalties or fees.
