Kentucky HB65 amends weight limits on state roads for vehicles hauling building materials.
Kentucky HB65 modifies weight limits on state roads for vehicles transporting building materials. Vehicles hauling materials for new home construction or home remodeling can travel without a permit if they meet vehicle registration and axle limits. Vehicles must carry a bill of lading and cannot exceed width or bridge limits. Vehicles over 96 inches wide must obtain an overdimensional permit. Builders constructing more than ten homes within a mile must apply for a permit. The Transportation Cabinet can require a bond to cover incremental road costs.
