Establishes requirements for municipal electric utilities and retail electric suppliers to provide electric service to data centers.
Establishes a process for data center customers to apply for electric service, including submitting information about the data center's location, electric service requirements, and proposed dedicated resources. Requires the payment of an initial nonrefundable application fee of at least $75,000. Municipal electric utilities and retail electric suppliers must file and maintain a tariff consistent with the requirements of this Act. The Public Service Commission must promulgate administrative regulations within 90 days of the Act's effective date.
