HB544

Kentucky HB544 establishes requirements for retail electric suppliers serving data centers with over 100 megawatts of capacity.

Kentucky HB544 introduces provisions for retail electric suppliers to serve data centers with a total aggregated customer contract capacity exceeding 100 megawatts. The bill mandates that suppliers file and obtain approval for tariffs or contracts with specific service requirements, including minimum contract durations, early termination fees, load ramp period terms, and financial assurances from data center customers. It exempts data center customers with existing loads above 100 megawatts who signed agreements before the Act's effective date.
