However, if the case involves allegations of dependency, neglect, or abuse, the provisions of Kentucky Revised Statutes Chapter 620 must be followed. Similarly, if mental illness is involved, Chapter 645 provisions apply. The temporary custody order remains in effect until the case is heard or modified by the court.
