Kentucky HB497 amends tuition waiver provisions to provide benefits for dependents of permanently and totally disabled members of the Kentucky National Guard or Reserve Component. It also extends waivers to spouses and children of disabled law enforcement officers, firefighters, or volunteer firefighters. The bill specifies that the waivers apply to state-supported universities, community colleges, or vocational training institutions. The waivers cover tuition and fees up to the cost of attendance less any grants received.
