Kentucky HB491 regulates the use of electronic monitoring devices in long-term care facilities.

Kentucky HB491 establishes rules for the use of electronic monitoring devices in long-term care facilities. It requires residents or their guardians to complete a form to authorize the installation of such devices. The form must include consent from all residents in shared rooms. The devices can only be used for safety or investigations and must be installed in visible locations. Facilities must make reasonable accommodations for installation and cannot discriminate against residents who use these devices.
