Kentucky HB471 creates Medicaid coverage for doula services, defined as trained professionals providing physical, emotional, and educational support to women before, during, and after childbirth. The Department for Medicaid Services must cover doula services if the doula has a national Provider Identification Number and completed enrollment as a Medicaid provider.
