Kentucky HB445 allocates funds for a two percent increase in monthly retirement allowances for retired state employees and state police, effective July 1, 2026. This bill appropriates $221,400,000 for the Kentucky Employees Retirement System and $16,000,000 for the State Police Retirement System. It also provides $18,700,000 for the Kentucky Employees Retirement Fund to address the lack of cost-of-living adjustments since fiscal year 2011-2012. The bill declares an emergency and takes effect upon passage and approval by the Governor.
