Bill Text

Kentucky HB413 amends health insurance provisions for state employees and retirees.

Kentucky HB413 modifies the state-sponsored health insurance program for employees and retirees. It mandates that health plans cover autism spectrum disorders and amino acid-based elemental formulas. The bill also requires coverage for hearing aids for individuals under 18 years old, with a cap of $1,400 every 36 months. It prohibits insurers from requiring cost-sharing amounts greater than the cost without coverage and mandates that cost-sharing be calculated at the point of sale.
