Kentucky HB336 allows local governments to set minimum wages higher than the state's standard.
Kentucky HB336 amends state law to permit cities, counties, and other local governments to establish minimum wage rates exceeding the state's standard. Employers must pay at least the federal minimum wage unless local ordinances specify a higher rate. If both county and city ordinances set different minimum wages, the higher rate applies within the city's boundaries. The state minimum wage adjusts to match any federal increase.
