Kentucky HB332 establishes a system for local officials and entities to issue operator's licenses and personal identification cards.

Kentucky HB332 creates a system where one local official or entity in each county can issue operator's licenses and personal identification cards through an agreement with the Transportation Cabinet. The Transportation Cabinet must identify participating local officials or entities by July 1, 2027. It cannot issue commercial driver's licenses or travel IDs. By October 1, 2028, and annually thereafter, the Transportation Cabinet must report on the number of licenses and cards issued and their impact on wait times.
