HB329

Kentucky HB329 mandates reporting of suspected child dependency, neglect, or abuse to authorities.

Kentucky HB329 amends the state's child welfare investigation procedures. It requires any person who knows or has reasonable cause to believe that a child is dependent, neglected, or abused to immediately report it to local law enforcement or the Department of Kentucky State Police. Reports can be made orally or in writing, including electronically. The bill outlines specific information to be included in the report, such as the child's name, age, and the nature of the alleged abuse.
