Kentucky HB311 requires railroad companies to remove obstructive vegetation at public road or highway crossings. The bill mandates clearing vegetation within 600 feet or a reasonably safe distance from the roadway. If a company fails to remove the vegetation, the Transportation Cabinet or local government can take action, including legal proceedings to recover costs. The responsible railroad company must pay for the vegetation removal.
