Kentucky HB285 establishes a property tax homestead exemption for disabled veterans with a 50% or greater service-connected disability rating. The exemption applies to the assessed valuation of the veteran's permanent residence and contiguous real property. The surviving spouse of a veteran who qualified for the exemption before their death can continue to receive the exemption under specific conditions.
