Kentucky HB282 modifies the requirements for vehicle lights. It mandates that fire department, rescue squad, and emergency management vehicles, as well as ambulances, must have flashing, rotating, or oscillating red lights. Public safety vehicles must have yellow lights, while police, sheriffs', and Department of Corrections vehicles must have blue lights. Wreckers can use blue lights only when stationary and removing vehicles or debris. Red flashing lights are allowed for school buses.
