Kentucky HB281 amends the state's food donation regulations to protect donors from liability. Nonprofit organizations and individuals donating safe and apparently wholesome food are exempt from civil or criminal liability, except in cases of intentional misconduct. The bill also exempts certain food donations from further inspection or regulation if they have already been inspected. The changes apply to donations made to homeless shelters or individuals displaced by natural disasters.
