Kentucky HB26 amends the state's workers' compensation law to include psychological, psychiatric, or stress-related changes for first responders. If a police officer, firefighter, emergency medical services personnel, front-line staff member, or Kentucky National Guard member is diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder within three years of their last active employment date, there is a rebuttable presumption that the disorder is a work-related injury.
