The bill creates a PFAS Working Group within the Cabinet for Health and Family Services to study the effects of perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) on health outcomes in Kentucky. The group will review research, consult with stakeholders, and develop recommendations for mitigating PFAS effects. Manufacturers of products containing intentionally added PFAS must report release data annually starting in 2027. Wastewater treatment facilities must not refuse sewage due to PFAS concentration. The cabinet will publish PFAS release reports and product information on its website.
