County commissioners must be elected by the voters of the entire county and serve four-year terms. Mayors must be at least 21 years old, natural-born U.S. citizens, and residents of the city for at least one year prior to election. Board of education members must be at least 24 years old, natural-born U.S. citizens, Kentucky citizens for at least three years, and voters of the district they represent.
