Kentucky HB140 mandates quality assurance checks on highway pavement markings six months after completion.

Kentucky HB140 requires the Transportation Cabinet to perform quality assurance checks on highway pavement markings six months after completion. The checks must include an inspection for adherence to Federal Highway Administration regulations and standards, and must be conducted after dark to assess retroreflectivity. If a project fails the check, the Transportation Cabinet must repair or reapply the markings within 30 days and conduct another quality assurance check.
